Site Information
Privacy Policy

ITtoolkit.com is published by Right Track Associates.  We have created this policy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to customer, member and visitor privacy.  At times, in order to maximize the benefit and experience of visiting ITtoolkit.com, you may be asked to enter certain information about yourself and your company. This privacy policy discloses the steps that we take to capture, use and protect that information.

Information We Collect

ITtoolkit.com does require member registration to access, or use certain, but not all areas of our site. We ask for limited information for membership, and we only use that information to provide meaningful content and for aggregate advertising data.  In addition to member content areas, we also request contact (email) information in customer service forms and via the "email article" function.  We also collect contact information from customers upon purchase of our Management Kits and Planning Templates, but we do not collect or store any credit card information.  (see the Security section below).  We do not disclose any of the information collected, nor will we provide or sell that information to third parties.  You may cancel membership or unsubscribe at any time and all contact information will be deleted.

Usage Tracking, Cookies and Web Beacons

Usage Tracking
Data gathered through aggregate tracking information is derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. This information enables us to better tailor our content to visitor needs and to help our advertisers understand the demographics of our audience. We do not correlate any usage tracking with data about individual users.  We create aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers and partners. This allows more effective advertising, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs.

Because we don't track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser will never know that a specific user clicked on a specific advertisement. We track user traffic patterns throughout the site.  We break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser). We may use your IP address to help diagnose server problems, and to administer our Web site.

Cookies
Our site uses 'session cookies' for membership logon and the creation of carts to order products.  These cookies may contain supplied member information and are erased upon browser shutdown.   In addition, we may set 'persistent cookies' to monitor site usage.  Usage cookies only contain data which does not personally identify the visitor.  You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser.  You do not need to have cookies turned on to access the ITtoolkit.com web site, however certain areas and content will be inaccessible or will not function without cookies.  If you have set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie.  If you are concerned about unwanted cookies, we suggest setting your browser to accept cookies from originating servers and to reject cookies from third-party servers.

Web Beacons
We may use Web beacons on our site or other sites and may permit third parties to place them on our site to monitor the effectiveness of advertising or for other legitimate purposes.  A Web beacon is a small, graphic image on a Web page, Web-based document or in an email message that is designed to allow the site owner or a third party to monitor who is visiting a site. Web beacons are often invisible to the user because they are typically very small (only 1-by-1 pixel) and the same color as the background of the Web page, document or email message. Web beacons are represented as HTML IMG tags in the Web page; users may be able to click on "view profiles" of the web page to see whether the page is using a web beacon. Web beacons collect the IP address of the computer that the Web beacon is sent to, the URL of the page the Web beacon comes from and the time it was viewed.

Use of Information

ITtoolkit.com only uses the information collected to gather feedback about user needs and interests, to respond to information requests, and to provide advertisers with aggregate audience demographics.  We do not share or disclose any of the information collected about individual users with any third party.  We will divulge information only as necessary to comply with state and federal laws.

ITtoolkit.com may contain links to other sites. We do not control the practices of these external sites nor of our advertisers. If you have questions about how one of our advertisers uses information when you click their ad and go to their content, please contact them directly.
